                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM
                   ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
                   WORKS TO CONTRACT WITH EUGENE BOWMAN,
                   APPRAISER, TO PERFORM AN APPRAISAL OF TWO
                   (2) TRACTS AND ONE (1) POSSIBLE CONDEMNATION
                   RELATIVE TO ACQUISITION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR
                   THE WIDENING OF MORRISON SPRINGS ROAD FOR AN
                   AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND FIVE
                   HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($2,500.00),
                   WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Interim Administrator of the
       Department of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to 
contract
       with Eugene Bowman, Appraiser, to perform an appraisal of two (2) 

       tracts and one (1) possible condemnation relative to acquisition
       of right-of-way for the widening of Morrison Springs Road for an
       amount not to exceed $2,500.00, without prior approval, which
       amount includes $1,500.00 for the appraisals and $1,000.00 for
       appearance in court as an expert witness if necessary.
